Meet Sweet Little Knox!

 

I have been soo excited to share these images with you! I adore in-home newborn sessions. They are personal and intimate and a time in your life that you will never get back…those first few weeks of being new parents (or adding to your family) are simply precious!

 

I photographed Knox’s birth…check it out here… so of course I needed to photograph this little baby with his amazing parents! I met Kevin and Hillary a couple of years ago. You know when you know that you know that God brings particular people into your life for a reason…that is this family along with Hillary’s sister and her fam. I am blessed to know them!

Back to the Butterfields! Kevin and his father made these AMAZING maple tables(2 of them) for my office desks for Micah and I. They seriously are better than West Elm…and I LOVE West Elm! They are awesome! So…in return..I offered to shoot their birth story. Best.Thing.Ever! What an experience! Be sure to check out the slideshow!

 

Well..as you can see this sweet baby has changed and GROWN since birth(they do that when you feed them;) haha  He is just as sweet as can be with  strawberry blonde  fuzzy hair and adorable kissable lips. I took some close ups of them and I WISH I HAD THEM OF MY BOYS!!!! This is truly why I LOVE my job. I am always thinking of things I WISH I had of my babies who are now 12 and 7! They sure do grow fast!

 

Kev and Hill…THANK YOU  does not seem like enough to say for allowing me into your home and hearts. I know what a precious time this is and I feel honored you had me document this for you! I adore your sweet little family and you are already Amazing parents! There really wasn’t a doubt! Hillary you are sweet and caring and always thinking of others feelings above your own, Kevin..you are such a support to Hillary and it is endearing to see the way you love her and Knox.  Big Congrats and Much Love to you!!!!!!

Hello, Everyone!

Welp…summer has come to a close and fall is right around the corner! I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine, warm summer nights and time spent with family! I know every year I think..gosh..it goes by so quickly! But, I had a great summer spent with all of my boys at the baseball fields, shooting amazing weddings and indulging in fresh picked strawberries(which were made into my husbands favorite strawberry shortcake:) Yummo.

I have many sessions to share, but wanted to share a few links of some of my favorite things. Take a peek. What is on your list this fall??

I came across these fab necklaces here and wanted to share them with you. It would be so fun as a bridesmaid gift or just for fun for you and your girlfriends! If any of my brides do not have this many bridesmaids…I will surely wear one 😉 *wink

Another item in my shopping cart is this cutie little ring you can find here . I guess I am loving gold right now. I think it looks great with fall colors:)

I just picked up this for my office remodel… I will be posting pics when it is finished!

And I am loving these online sermons! It is so awesome to listen to when I am editing!

I surely want to make these for my fam! How yummy do these look? I might wrap them up and give to friends and family for the holidays, too:)

Many are wondering what to wear to my fall sessions…I have created an inspiration board on pinterest here. I will continue to add to this so keep checking back! Can’t wait to see everyone!

I just love this set of images of mama and daughter. All to often us mama’s are not in photos of us loving on our babies. Make a point to get in front of the lens mamas! Make some memories so your children will have these images to remember just how much you loved them!!

Meet Kellen and Anne.

These two sweethearts were married on the cutest private island at Kellen’s parents cottage. We were taken to the ceremony site by boat and there were only 30 or so guests in attendance! It truly was the perfect setting and day for a wedding!

I have been corresponding with Anne’s mother, Pat for quite some time now! The couple resides out of the country so Pat filled me in on all of the fun details surrounding the day. I always love meeting the family and everyone was so warm and welcoming! I know I say this often…but I truly do have the Best Clients! I am so blessed!

Anne and Kellen…it was so great to finally meet you! I hope you had a wonderful visit in Michigan and I know your travels will be wonderful from this day forward!

FALL MINI SESSION UPDATE!

The date for the fall mini session is: Sunday Sept.30th with a rain make-up date on Oct. 7th. I will be providing a cute LOVE burlap bunting, quilts, blankets,wheel barrel, chalkboard to write your family name for personalization:) You may use some of these or just sweet and simple updated fall portraits:) Your choice:) I wanted to shoot earlier in the season due to higher chances of rain in October and you will have more time to create Christmas cards on your own:) No last minute send outs:)

*Also…the $100 session fee is for families of 4 or less. $25 fee per person for more than 4:)

Location: Korson Tree Farm 1895 Nevins Road
Sidney, Michigan 48885 :I shot a fun lifestyle session there last year that was featured in West MI Woman Magazine.

Oh, my! Who is excited that Fall is right around the corner??  I know I am! I LOVE the smell of the burning leaves, apple cinnamon donuts, hot chocolate, chunky sweaters and football games! AND….Fall Family Portaits!  I was not able to offer these mini sessions last year so I am happy to get everyone on the calendar early this year! YAY!

 
I will be announcing the dates in the next few days and confirming the location…but, here is a peek at what is to come!
