Brett and April were married 3 years ago and I loved photographing their wedding! Facebook has been awesome for me to stay in touch with my brides and when April found out she was expecting THREE babies…she emailed me right away! I LOVE that! It is such an honor to document my client’s families and to see them grow is a true blessing!

They drove up from Kentucky and we were able to squeeze in their family session. The outcome could not have been better! I told April that her babies did so well. She was hesitant in believing me, but I have photographed a ton of babies and this session was great! Photographing Three babies at the same time was much easier than I geared myself up for! I know it’s because April and Brett are super relaxed with them and just adore their trio! What amazing parents they already are! It melted my heart to see them with their sweet babies!

So much love to you  guys! I know you are barely getting enough sleep, you NEED a date night and your days consist of constant feedings…but you are doing a GREAT job! They are healthy and happy and now you have these forever memories of this sweet and busy time that passes all too quickly! Enjoy the ride!!

I always love catching up with Knox’s mama, Hillary and it was extra fun to snuggle sweet Knox at the studio! The little guy is sitting up and even rolled over at our shoot for the first time! Good thing I had my camera! Knox is such a calm baby and it is so obvious what a wonderful mama Hillary is! He loved gazing at her and loved when she would sing to him. It took me by surprise that Hillary sings him the song that I chose for the birth slideshow. Boy…that was special! And of course Knox loved it too!

Hillary and Kevin…I love that you trust me with your precious memories! I am honored to document your sweet baby and it is so fun to see your family grow! Knox is a joy! I love that you guys are in my life and appreciate you in so many ways! Much love to you! Enjoy the images!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am still recovering from a full day shoot with West MI Style Magazine for DeVries Jewelers on Friday(call time 8:30am , a fun and fabulous BASH with my favorite wedding industry friends and The Cheney Place in Grand Rapids hosted by Fancy Frey and my friends Ben and Mindy and then a busy Triplet shoot with a past wedding couple of mine, April and Brett (can’t believe it’s been 3 yrs!) and their sweeties, Finley, Liam and Camden! Whew. I need a day off soon:)

I will be sharing so much more from this shoot and the magazine shoot soon, but wanted the triplets mama and daddy to see a peek at their babes!

I just wanted to leave you with a bit of encouragement heading into the weekend! Now that I am committed to NO FB for lent…I am excited to see how God works on my heart during the next 38 days:)

As I was doing my devotional this morning…I was reminded of how incredibly blessed I am. Can you think of 5 things you are thankful for? Even if things are going badly in your life today..can you still find 5 things that you are blessed with?

I am truly opening my eyes to the little things in my day to day life that make my heart happy. It’s almost so silly to write down but here goes:

1. my husband drawing me a bath last night (who says drawing a bath???…haha…I guess me  what else would I call it ??! lol)…so simple..yet, so sweet of him. I NEVER take baths and I just thought…that sounds super relaxing. I am ALWAYs working so this was a nice treat.

2. time with my boys. I am soo fortunate to be able to be at home with my boys during the week and I have truly been enjoying spending quality time with them. Now that I am committing to slowing down and being present when they get home(getting all of my work done while they are at school) this is making me feel less stressed and happy to hang with them. I used to work all day and all night. Sneak in dinner and I can’t even tell you the last time I watched an entire television show. Setting boundaries for myself is key. It’s been lovely!

3. snuggles with sully. He makes my heart happy.

4.girlfriends. they keep it real with me and do not tell me what I want to hear. they love me unconditionally and cheer me on! I know we all want the very best for each other and we acknowledge our paths are very unique and different and that is awesome! I am truly blessed.

5. Sunsets. I am in awe of them. I take tons of pictures of them and feel God drawing my attention to Him. He truly is the most wonderul artist and I just love seeing his beauty in the sky.

Of course..I have a ton of  other things to be thankful for …but, these were on the top of my head. Stay focused on the positive and when life gets heavy…help someone else and I promise you…you will in turn..feel better!

I am headed to a fun photograper baby shower.  I know they are busy with the details and will not check my blog so I will share these sweet little gifts I picked up on Etsy. When I opened the package…I felt a wee bit sad, as well as excitement for my friends!  I remember like it was yesterday when I brought each of my boys home. They fit into these little onesies and it was such a sweet time in my life. Exhausting and overwhelming and sweet all wrapped into one. And this folks…is why I LOVE photography. Time is so fleeting! Enjoy the moments and be thankful for it all.

Chad and Dee welcomed little Scarlett Mae into their family a year ago. Isn’t she a little doll? It was time for updated family photos and fall is surely my favorite time of the year so I was more than excited for their session. You must know that Baby Scarlett is a curious thinker and had NO interest in me, my camera, her parents singing songs (loudly or any other antics we tried! I think I need a behind the scenes video to show you all how funny it truly is! We laughed so hard and I couldn’t be more happy with the outcome. We even grabbed some shots of Scarlett laughing:) My Jack was the same way…a much more inquisitive baby and not overly smiley to anyone except mommy and daddy:) I love how God creates each baby unique and special:)

Chad and Dee…thank you for making the trek out to my property to see me I hope you adore your images as much I enjoyed photographing your sweet family! The love you share with each other and with sweet Scarlett Mae is so awesome to witness and I’m so glad you make the time to document your little family! They truly do grow soo fast!

Ok..onto the photo shoot. Back story. Micah Begged asked me NOT to bring my camera. For two reasons: fear of someone stealing it out of our room and fear of HIM having to carry it around all week all the while listening to my boys whine about ONE.MORE.PHOTO. So…I refrained! I asked my friend Jessica to bring along her 50D so I would at least have Something! (thank you, Jess:) So…after the images I am sharing…my husband now knows how important it is for my “fancy” camera to come along on our vacations!  I did document our vacay with my iphone and you can peek at our time there on instagram…follow me under kellybraman ….it’s addicting so you have been warned:) ha

The boys knew this hour was coming. I prepped them all week for a few minutes with mom for a FEW photos! Well..little charlieb. had a headache and honestly wasn’t feeling so hot…so I snapped fast and this is what I came up with! Jack on the other hand…loved a few minutes of fame and we grabbed a few more frames of just him on the beach. I LOVE what I was able to get in just a few minutes! I hope you love them too:)

The Haveman Family is no stranger to this blog. I have been shooting Josh, and Heather and their sweet family for a quite some time now! I love watching their family grow! Heather has become a dear friend of mine and I know God brought her into my life for a reason! I am blessed to call her friend!

Heather is incredibly talented and I know I have mentioned this before, but she designed my boys’ rooms. They are seriously To DIE For!  She is one of the most stylish women I  know and she completely styled her family for this shoot. I LOVE what she came up with! They all look completely adorable! We are chatting about her offering her services to help style Your family for your shoot!  How awesome is that?!

I was dying when they pulled up and Beckett and Jett(yes..her boys’ names are amazing, too)…the boys had these big furry hats on. I Always put my boys in hats and I was laughing that little Beckett’s had ears! Just perfect!

So there we sat…ordering everything on her ipad in no time flat!  You KNOW I was excited to photograph them and Love the outcome!  I was giddy ordering for the girls…I mean…cute, colorful flats, skinny cords and gold belts, oh my!
